A visit to restaurant Bakboord guarantees an unforgettable culinary afternoon or evening out.

Bakboord is a fine dining restaurant and it is the culinary playing field of the creative executive chef Lars Bertelsen, Chef Chen Margolin and their team. They do their best to surprise the guests by giving a personal touch to the organic products of local farmers.

Cooking is a process in which the dishes are continuously improved on taste and structure and further perfected.

Bakboord is known for its popular Chef Experience, a 2 - 8 course menu and there is a choice of the a la carte. There is also a 2-5 course Chefs Vegetarian Menu.

The restaurant

Welcome and step inside the Michelin-rated restaurant. The panorama over the Gooimeer and the 'Havenkom', influenced by the seasons, is a visual spectacle. In an ambiance of beautiful warm tones and a distinct decor, you will be pampered gastronomically by the team.

In the summer months, you can have a delicious lunch and dinner on our outdoor terrace with a view over the harbor basin and the boats entering. There is also a small jetty.

Executive Chef Lars Bertelsen and chef Chen Margolin have been working together for over 8 years.

Where one may be stronger in terms of innovation and taste, the other excels in organizing and implementation.

With respect for each other, they learn from one another. They motivate each other to make every single new dish better than the last. They are a cradle of experience and knowledge where all chefs working in the kitchen can rely on and enrich with.

The service team

The knowledgeable front-of-house team is guided by Chris Bos, and his charming assistant Plien Willink. Chris, with his extensive wine knowledge, knows all the regulars by heart. Plien ensures innovation and development in order to convey the best Bakboord experience to the guest as a team.

The restaurant team, professionals, bespoke and friendly will do their utmost to ensure that every single guest leaves completely satisfied.

Do you have an intimate lunch, dinner or a business meeting?

In addition to the restaurant, Bakboord has 2 separate meeting rooms. The 'Salon' is suitable for a maximum of 12 guests and the 'Serre' for a maximum of 20 guests.

This summer you can chill out on out new lounge terrace. Relax and enjoy the view over the Gooimeer and the boats entering and leaving the harbor. Lounge music in the background, the terrace decorated with palm trees and the sun all day long immediately give you that holiday feeling. While you sink away into one of our lounge sofas and make a choice from the luxurious snack menu, we provide a delicious drink

Senses restaurant accommodates allergies and dietary restrictions with prior notice. We are unable to make menu changes on the day.

We can accommodate allergies or intolerances to meat, poultry, fish, seafood, gluten (restricted), lactose (restricted), pregnancy, vegetarian (i.e. not vegan) and some ingredients. Other wishes, allergies and dietary restrictions can unfortunately not be implemented in our dishes.

Lunch: 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Last order for the kitchen: 3:00 PM.
Dinner from 6:00 PM to 12:00 PM. Last order for the kitchen: 9:30 PM

There is currently a major shortage of employees in the catering industry and many other sectors
and we were forced to be closed on Sunday and Monday. Still, we managed
to hire a number of employees to strengthen the kitchen team.

From September 4th we will also be open on Sundays and Monday we will remain closed for the time being.
